During my research, in which I was to draw up a historical introduction about Coppelius, I faced several difficulties. Gathering facts on the founding of Coppelius was especially arduous. However, I succeeded in collecting various insights and anecdotes. This was due to the fact that, not only documents but also stories told by the musicians who are still walking on this earth, helped enormously.
